As an entity, Banarasisaree.com was founded in the year 2001, inspired by our founders learnings and love for legacy of Banaras. Our passion for reviving Banaras’ handloom industry led us to create an easy-to-use e-commerce portal for weavers so that the tradition and ethnicity of Banaras can be preserved, while at the same time, the weavers’ community gets the right price for their hard work and efforts; at the same time ensuring quality and value for money for the end customer as well.
As the team at Banarasisaree.com, embarks on the mission to celebrate the artisans of our country, we are also making efforts to educate the artisans with necessary skills like workshops on saree finishing, tassel making, or business knowledge, etc. The overall efforts are aligned to make an ecosystem that is self-reliant and acts as a nurturing ground for the weavers and the customers who have an immaculate sense of quality and finesse.
